You can delete your FriSki account and all of its data yourself, from inside the app,
without asking anyone. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open FriSki and go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are erased on our servers straight away, and you are signed out.
What is erased
- Your profile — display name, avatar colour and profile photo, including the photo file itself
- Your authentication record, so the account can no longer be signed into
- Your membership of every group
- Your stored location
- Your device push token
- Any safety reports you filed about other people
What stays, with your name removed
Some things you created are shared with other people, so instead of deleting them we
cut the link to you. Once your account is gone, nothing in this list can be traced
back to it.
-
Messages you sent to a group. Deleting one person’s side of a
conversation would tear holes in a history the rest of the group still relies on,
so the messages remain and stop being attributed to anyone.
-
Meeting points you set, for the same reason — the group may still
be skiing towards one.
-
Groups you created continue to exist for their remaining members.
-
Feedback you submitted stays as anonymous feedback.
-
Safety reports other people filed about your messages are kept, so
that abuse reports remain actionable.
-
Crash reports already sent to Sentry expire under its own retention
window. They contain no location data.
If you cannot reach the app
If you have lost access to your device or cannot sign in, email
friskisupport@gmail.com
from the address you signed up with, with the subject “FriSki account deletion
request”. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and delete
the account.
We aim to complete emailed requests within 30 days, as required under GDPR. In-app
deletion is immediate, so use that route if you can.
