Work with FriSki

FriSki keeps ski groups together, with friends on the piste map, one place to meet and spoken directions to get there. It runs on the phone and the lock screen, and watch apps are on the way. It’s in beta, built by the two of us. If you run a resort, organize ski trips, make the gear skiers wear or want to back the company, we’d love to talk.

Routable resort maps

Every run and lift, connected

Each resort is a network of runs and lifts with elevation, built from OpenStreetMap and terrain data. That’s what lets FriSki give spoken directions to a meeting point by run name and work out each friend’s ETA.

The group layer

Invite-only, no tracks kept

People join a group by QR code, group code, share link or email invite. The live position is only the latest fix, never a route or a track. Lifts the app sees someone ride show to their group for 12 hours and are deleted within three days. Meeting points, signals and chat pins that people choose to share are kept like messages. Ghost mode stops sharing without leaving the group. Reports go to a moderation queue, and a block takes effect immediately, without telling the other person.

Lock screen and watch

Phone, lock screen and wrist

An Android ski day notification in the beta, an iPhone Live Activity coming with the first iPhone build, a Garmin watch app in early preview for beta testers on 12 models, and an Apple Watch app in development.

Offline first

Built for dead zones

A resort’s offline map is up to about 225 MB, downloaded on Wi-Fi before the trip. The map, your GPS position and your route keep working with no signal, and friends catch up when coverage returns.

What we could do together

None of these has a price list yet. They’re conversations we’d like to start.

FriSki in one paragraph

FriSki is a ski app that keeps groups of friends together on the mountain. It puts the whole group on an offline piste map, lets them pick one place to meet and talks each of them there, with the next turn on the lock screen. A Garmin watch app is in early preview for beta testers, and an Apple Watch app is in development. FriSki covers 27 resorts in 7 countries and is in beta for Android and iPhone. It’s built by Morel Avraham and Daniel Even Zor. friski.co
