⛷️ FriSki

Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 July 2026

FriSki is not a safety device

Locations and audio alerts can be delayed, inaccurate, or absent — phones lose signal, batteries die, and GPS drifts between buildings and trees. Never rely on FriSki as your only means of safety communication on a mountain. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or ski patrol.

1. Using FriSki

FriSki is provided as-is for recreational use. By using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be 13 or older, or the higher minimum age your country requires.

2. Your responsibility on the mountain

You are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of your group. Position data and proximity alerts are informational only. Ski within your ability, follow resort rules and signage, and do not use the app in a way that distracts you while moving.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account, which erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.

5. Reporting and blocking

Press and hold any message in group chat to report it or to block the person who sent it. Blocking hides that person’s messages from you everywhere the two of you share a group; they are not told that you blocked them. You can undo a block from Settings → Blocked people.

We review reports of objectionable content and may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or applicable law. Reporting a message does not hide it on its own — block the sender as well if you would rather not see their messages.

6. Content you post

You keep ownership of the messages, names and photos you upload. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and display that content to the group members you chose to share it with, and to retain a copy of reported content so a report can be acted on.

7. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service. We will try to give notice of significant changes in the app. Features described here may change as the app develops.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FriSki is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the app or from reliance on position data or alerts. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
