Every friend is a beacon on the piste map, moving as they move. Each one shows whether they are skiing, riding a lift or stopped, so you know who is below you and who is still in the queue.

One enormous linked area, and a group that will absolutely end up in different sectors of it.
Andorra is a single connected domain big enough that “we will meet at the bottom” means very little. FriSki gives the group one live map and one agreed meeting point with everybody’s own ETA to it, so a plan made on the first lift survives contact with the mountain. The downloadable map covers the whole area, which matters on a border ridge where a phone spends its day changing its mind about which network it is on.

When a friend comes within the distance you choose (100, 200 or 500 metres), FriSki says so out loud in your headphones. Friend alerts and spoken directions help you check your phone less often while you ski.
Offline maps

Download your resort on Wi-Fi before you go. Pistes, lifts and place names are then stored on your phone, and GPS needs no network, so in a dead zone the map keeps drawing and your route keeps going. Your friends come back the moment coverage does.
