FriSki in Georgia

Big open terrain, where a friend a few hundred metres away can still be hard to spot.

Gudauri and Kobi are open, high terrain where a group spreads out fast. FriSki shows each friend on the piste map and lets you agree on one place to meet, so nobody has to guess who went which way. Download the map before you head up; GPS needs no network. Spoken directions are in beta here, as everywhere, and no resort has been checked on snow yet.

Live group map

See your whole group. Live

Every friend is a beacon on the piste map, moving as they move. Each one shows whether they are skiing, riding a lift or stopped, so you know who is below you and who is still in the queue.

Voice proximity alerts

Maya is nearby, about 150 meters ahead

When a friend comes within the distance you choose (100, 200 or 500 metres), FriSki says so out loud in your headphones. Friend alerts and spoken directions help you check your phone less often while you ski.

Offline maps

Zero bars. Full map

Download your resort on Wi-Fi before you go. Pistes, lifts and place names are then stored on your phone, and GPS needs no network, so in a dead zone the map keeps drawing and your route keeps going. Your friends come back the moment coverage does.
